Dudhwa National Park, Uttar Pradesh

Dudhwa National Park, established in 1977 situated in Lakhmipur Kheri District, Uttar Pradesh, and covers 490 sq. km. During the time of British Rule, the National Park was used for hunting, later in 1958, Uttar Pradesh government declared the park a Wildlife Sanctuary. In 1977, more areas were covered under the park and declared as a National Park, and in 1987, due to the significant population of Bengal Tiger, the government declared the park as Tiger Reserve. Now Dudhwa National Park is famous for wildlife and species of birds.
