Are you looking for a trip to an offbeat location? A place amidst the nature, with organic vegetable and Fruits? If your answer is yes, then you are at the right place.

In this blog, will take you to the place which is less crowded, and famous for making fresh and pure Paneer. A Village where every household makes paneer. Isn’t it strange? A Uttrakhand Village, Rautu Ki Beli is known as Paneer Village of Uttrakhand.

To reach this place take Mussorie Road, then move towards Barlowganj which is really beautiful. Then head towards Suwakholi which is surreal beauty of Uttrakhand, and surely you love the enroute to Paneer Village. After reaching Suwakholi, the unique village is only 10 kms. away. If you love bike riding, then this place is perfect to enjoy the nature’s beauty. The roads are well maintained, and while enroute you will find dense forest and mountain, which make your journey commendable.

This is the same route we used while Char Dham Yatra and trust me the beauty turned differently after Suwakholi. You will find deodar trees all over the route. Finally, we are at Paneer Village of Uttrakhand – Rautu Ki Beli. What I liked most about this village is, this place is not commercialized which enhances the beauty.

Restort/Homestay in Rautu Ki Beli

As I said the village is not commercialized, so Resorts are quite few, thus the fare prices are higher in resorts, but you can stay at homestays in reasonable price. Let’s see what offers you can get:

  • Himalayan Splendor Resort: The Resort is beautiful, and the property is well maintained by the owner. The charges are pretty high in season, they charge 9000/- per night and in off season the fare price decreases to Rs. 6500/- per night.
  • Bhandari Homestay: This homestay is of local people and only 6 Rooms are available for the stay. The rooms are well maintained with basic amenities. If you are planning to stay for more time and do work from home, then it’s good as the rates are reasonable and they offer washing machine too. Charges of homestay is Rs. 1000/- per night.
    • Kafal Restaurant and Homestay: This homestay is very nice with better amenities and food service. The room is spacious, with comfortable bedding, sofa, kettle, television and expansive washroom. The fare price is Rs.1600/- per night without breakfast and Rs. 2000/- per night with breakfast. During season, you may experience a hike of Rs. 500/- in the fare price, which is quite reasonable. The restaurant serves authentic Pahadi food and fresh panner.

      Rautu Ki Beli Famous For

In Rautu ki Beli, every household makes paneer every day, that makes this village famous for making paneer. The villagers make 15 kg to 20 kg Panner every day, which means the paneer is fresh and pure too. If I talk about the price then it’s reasonable, approximately Rs. 300/- kg. You won’t believe it the paneer finished from all stores at around 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

If you think the village is famous for Paneer only, then my dear friends you are wrong. The Paneer Village – Rautu ki Beli serves organic vegetables and fruits, and when you roam around the village, you can find Potato Farming, Chiku Farming and many more. The villagers also sell fruits and vegetables in Dehradun Market.

The weather is amazing and if you are from Delhi-NCR, then it’s a big relief from scorching heat. I would advise to check the weather before planning a trip, and people may say monsoon is not good time to explore hilly areas, but monsoon gives next level vibes.
