The trek starts at 6:00 am and considering electricity and other issues, it ends at 4:00 pm. In this trek walk you will learn about the traditional uses and folklore around various plants.
- Cultural Evenings: In the evenings, locals gather and sang folk songs, & dance around at the bonfire. The Naga community performs War Dance and play Zeliang flute. People sat under the sky filled with stars and told stories & folk poetry.
- Local Handicrafts: In the fair you can buy, handmade bamboo crafts, tribal jewelry, and handwoven shawls. To decorate the house, there are natural artifacts, and also indulge yourself in Awareness booths on local conservation efforts, this can boost Nagaland’s economy.
- Food Stalls: Nagaland people are more prone to non-vegetarian dishes, that may be an issue for vegetarians. If you are non-vegetarian, don’t miss smoked pork with bamboo shoots, and dried fish chutney. Vegetarians can try sticky rice in banana leaves and locally brewed rice beer called Zutho. Vegetarian options made with foraged wild greens which you can eat with rice.
